Planning and Measurement PDF Print E-mail

Our experience in designing and implementing measurement systems means clients can be confident they have a system designed for their industry and company needs.  Our approach ensures that you not only gain an understanding of how your brand is being positioned in media, social media and UGC media, but that you get the insight you need to make better public relations and business decisions.  Our approach has three stages elements to ensure investment in measurement systems results in not just a stronger reputation, but a stronger business.

1.     Ecosystem Research - Using primary and secondary research tools, we outline your audiences' information ecosystem.  The ecosystem shows how audiences receive information and how different sources influence them.  This allows the public relations and marketing program to focus on the most effective messages and information (media) targets.

2.     Planning and Reputation Forecasting - This phase uses the ecosystem information and audience perception data to develop a strategic communications plan that will achieve a desired reputation.  Here, we often provide business counsel to illustrate how different business decision, and subsequent communications strategies, will have varied reputation results.

3.     Measurement - .Our approach is to divide the measurement phase into performance measurement and reputation measurement.  Performance measurement focuses on how well our key messages were communicated through media and other sources of influence within the targeted information ecosystem.  Our reputation measurement focuses on how audiences see a brand (including products, specific business decisions and other components of a business) as well as what drove that reputation.  By then connecting these two phases, we can better determine which elements of the communications strategy are having the greatest impact and make appropriate changes to improve the performance of the strategy communications program.
